Magnetometer Display The MX500 Digital Magnetometer displays the variation in magnetic field intensity graphically.
The display shows the variation in magnetic field intensity in nano-tesla from a reference value. Each new measurement appears on the right hand side along the vertical axis, while previous measurements are scrolled one sample to the left. The range of magnetic deviation can be varied using the pull down or context sensitive menus. The red number on the horizontal axis shows the sample number from the start of logging while the small black cross is a movable cursor that lets the user scroll back to any previous samples while still logging. A pseudo gradiometer mode can be used to remove field gradients in locations that have high magnetic background gradient.
When using a dual tow-fish system the magnetometer display can display the magnetic gradient between the two tow-fish.  |
